HEC Warns Students about Fake Degree Attestation Agents

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has warned students to be wary of individuals posing as attestation agents who are defrauding the public by issuing forged certificates.

According to the HEC’s Incharge Student Affairs Division, the Commission has been informed that some individuals posing as “agents” offer to assist applicants in having their degrees and transcripts attested. In some cases, these individuals hoodwink applicants by affixing forged HEC Stamps/Tickets to original degrees and transcripts. When such degrees and transcripts are submitted to HEC, they will be confiscated, according to an official here on Sunday.

All concerned are advised to be extremely careful in this regard and follow the prescribed procedure for attestation instead of engaging potentially fraudulent agents. For further information the students may visit https://onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk/ or contact at UAN: 051-111-119-432 or 0334-1119432.
