Thieves Should Not Be Allowed to Sell National Assets: Imran Khan

Former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said on Saturday, during a tirade against Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and former president and PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, that thieves should not be allowed to sell national assets.

“How can imported govt brought to power through US conspiracy, led by Crime Minister, whose family along with Zardari have volumes written on their corruption, be trusted with sale of national assets & that too while bypassing all procedural & legal checks,” the former PM tweeted.

“These people have been plundering Pakistan for the last 30 years and are now responsible for the current economic meltdown,” he said.

“These thieves should never be allowed to sell our national assets in the devious manner they are attempting,” Imran Khan said, adding that the country will never trust them with its assets.

Earlier today, the PTI chairman tweeted that the Zardari-Sharif mafia had brought the country to its knees politically and economically in just over three months.

According to the former Prime Minister, the PML-N and PPP want to protect their illegally accumulated wealth amassed over 30 years of plundering Pakistan.

The PTI Chairman further said that after his interaction with the nation and the response to his call, he can say with certainty that the people of Pakistan have had enough and will not allow these mafias to continue their looting and plunder.

When the public pours out into the streets, the former premier warns that the country is not far from Sri Lanka.
