A video of a flight attendant finding a severed snake head in her in-flight meal went viral, prompting the airline to terminate its contract with the catering company.
A flight attendant from a Turkish airline was recently horrified after allegedly discovering a severed snake’s head in an in-flight meal.
According to the Independent, the shocking incident occurred on a SunExpress flight from Ankara, Turkey, to Dusseldorf, Germany, on July 21. The cabin crew member claimed that they were eating their crew meal when they discovered a small snake’s head camouflaged among the potatoes and vegetables.
A video shared on Twitter shows the decapitated head of the reptile lying in the middle of the food tray.
The airline responded immediately to the horrifying discovery. According to the outlet, a SunExpress representative told the Turkish press that the incident was “absolutely unacceptable.” The airline has since cancelled its contract with the disputed food supplier, and an investigation has been launched, according to the representative.
