Mcdonald’s is Introducing Happy Meals for Grownups, and Toy Too, One of the Most Iconic Experiences

A Happy Meal can be enjoyed by anyone, at least that’s what McDonald’s is betting on.

This week, the giant of fast food revealed plans to start offering adult-oriented meals that come with a complimentary toy as part of a campaign to capitalize on customers’ fond memories of the eatery’s iconic red cardboard boxes.

McDonald’s and the well-known streetwear company have teamed together to create the Cactus Plant Flea Market Box, which will be distributed to participating stores beginning on October 3.

The Cactus Plant Flea Market Box will come with either a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, as well as a Coke and fries, unlike the smaller menu items featured in the traditional Happy Meal.

Along with a Cactus Buddy, the box will also contain “one of four collector figurines” of the McDonald’s mascots Grimace, the Hamburglar, and Birdie.

In a statement, Tariq Hassan, chief marketing officer at McDonald’s, stated, “We’re basically repackaging one of the most memorable McDonald’s experiences in a new form that’s hyper-relevant for our adult consumers.”

This is hardly McDonald’s first venture into branded alliances.

The restaurant business created a stir in April when it partnered with K-pop sensations BTS for its Famous Orders campaign.
