Former Prime Minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan has clarified that his political opponents are misquoting his statement on the ‘US conspiracy narrative,’ emphasizing that he has always advocated for friendly relations with all countries, including the US.
“No sane man wants to have enemies. But we don’t want to be anyone’s slaves,” the PTI chief said while addressing the PTI’s long march via video link on Monday.
The deposed premier’s remarks came amid a commotion in government circles over his Financial Times interview, in which he stated that the “US conspiracy” matter was “behind him.”
“Journalists are being fed by a propaganda cell.” They deliberately misinterpret things I say,” Imran said, adding that the cypher was in the NSC, parliament, and with the president.
“What is the problem here?” “When we say we’re moving forward, it means we’re looking for good relationships,” he clarified.
“Our journalism has progressed to the point where even foreign journalists must clarify their stories,” Imran continued.
